Summer Staff Qualifying Criteria
* Summer Staff must:
- be at least 18 years old.
- be legally eligible for employment in the United States.
- be able to safely lift 50 lbs. (with/without reasonable accommodation).
- complete a comprehensive medical history and required immunization forms (provided upon offer of the position).
- have completed one year of college or comparable life experience by the start of the summer 2025.
- submit a criminal background check (provided upon offer of the position).
- commit to working from mid-May through August 1, 2025 (activity training, staff training, and 10 weeks of summer camps).

If accepted, summer staff will be subject to a random drug test during the summer season.

Skill Sets
Below is a list of the activities facilitated at Camp John Marc. Please select the activities that you would feel comfortable facilitating or have appropriate experience.
Adventure Activities
Challenge Course (must be comfortable working at height above 25 feet; training/certification available)
Archery (compound and re-curve bows; training/certification available)
Fishing (tie knots, touch and remove hook from fish, fix reels, etc.)
Sports & Games (team building, group games, GaGa Ball, etc)
Nature (Native wildlife education and activities, bearded dragon and snakes care/education, nature hikes, etc.)
Aquatic Activities: Certification training starts at camp before Staff Training.
Pool Lifeguard: (must complete American Red Cross lifeguard/CPR course and demonstrate continuous swim of freestyle and breast strokes for 300 yards).
Boats Lifeguard: Canoes & Kayaks (must complete American Red Cross lifeguard course AND swim an additional 250 yards).
Equine Activities
Wrangler (knowledgeable/experience with horse care, first aid, tacking, feeding)
Creative Arts
Pottery (clay or kiln experience)
